What is Qwickly?


Qwickly allows instructors to do common course tasks and upload cloud content from OneDrive, Google Drive and DropBox. Using the Qwickly module
located on the myCourses dashboard, instructors can post announcements and send email to students across multiple courses, post links, calendar events,
post content, create assignments and check what needs grading in a course.

From the myCourses dashboard, locate the Qwickly module.

Post an Announcement Video tutorial
  1. Click on Post Announcement from the Qwickly module.
  2. Select the checkbox next to one or more courses from your course listing on the lefthand side.
  3. Enter an Announcement Subject.
  4. Enter an Announcement Message.
  5. Select to Post Immediately or optionally enter a Start and End date.
  6. Optional: Select to send as a email announcement.
  7. Click Submit.

Send Email Video tutorial
  1. Click on Send Email from the Qwickly module.
  2. Select the checkbox next to one or more courses from your course listing on the left-hand side.
  3. Select to Send To: Everyone or Students/Instructors/TAs
  4. Enter an Email Subject.
  5. Enter an Email Message.
  6. Optional: Attach a file from your Computer, OneDrive, Google Drive, or DropBox.
  7. Click Submit.
Post Cloud Content from within Your Course
  1. Click on the Build tab from within a Content Area.
  2. Click on Qwickly Upload Cloud Content.
  3. Enter a Name for the content.
  4. Enter a Text Description: Optional
  5. Attach a file from your Computer, OneDrive, Google Drive, or DropBox.
  6. Click Submit.

Create Cloud Assignment from Within Your Course

If you're looking to accept assignments from cloud repositories, Create Cloud
Assignment allows students to submit documents from repositories such as
OneDrive, Google Drive, or DropBox.

  1. Click on Create Cloud Assignment from the Assessments tab.
  2. Enter Name for the Assignment.
  3. Enter total points possible.
  4. Enter a Due Date.
  5. Enter a Description
  6. Optionally, attach a file from your Computer, OneDrive, Google Drive,
    or DropBox.
  7. Click Submit.

    Some Limitations:
    • Qwickly Assignment cannot be used with SafeAssign.

Post Cloud Content from myCourses Dashboard Video tutorial
  1. Click on Post Content from the Qwickly module.
  2. Select the checkbox next to one or more courses from your course listing on the left-hand side.
  3. Enter a Name for the content
  4. Enter a Description: Optional
  5. Attach a file from your Computer, OneDrive, Google Drive, or DropBox.
  6. Under Post to Location, select where to post the content in your course site. A list of content folders will display. Alternatively, you can create a new folder.
  7. Click Submit.
    * If you are posting content to more than one course, select Post to Different Locations and then select the course folder location under each course.

    Some Limitations:
    • Qwickly can only post content to content areas that are listed on your course menu. It cannot add content to folders that exist within the course menu content areas.
    • You cannot edit or delete content using Qwickly.
    • This tool is used primarily for quick uploading of content. It is not a substitution for posting and creating content into your course site(s).

Post Link Video tutorial
  1. Click on Post Link from the Qwickly module.
  2. Select the checkbox next to one or more courses from your course listing on the left-hand side.
  3. Enter Name for the link.
  4. Enter the URL/link address.
  5. Enter a description.
  6. Post to Location in your course. Select the checkbox to post to more than one location.
  7. Click Submit.

Create Calendar Event Video tutorial coming soon
  1. Click on Create Calendar Event from the Qwickly module.
  2. Select the checkbox next to one or more courses from your course listing on the left-hand side.
  3. Enter a Title.
  4. Enter a Description.
  5. Enter a Start and End date/time.
  6. Click Submit.

Needs Grading Video tutorial coming soon
  1. Click on Needs Grading from the Qwickly module.
  2. A list of courses with assignments that need grading will be generated.
  3. Click on Items Need Grading next to the course title.
  4. You will be taken directly to the course Needs Grading area.


  • Only the current semester courses are listed in your Qwickly module. (e.g Fall 2017)
  • If you are not listed as the instructor for a course in the current semester, you may see the following Qwickly message.
