Create a Discussion Board


Please follow the instructions below to create a discussion board.
  1. Navigate to the content area where your students will access the discussion board.
  2. Click on Tools and then select Discussion Board from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Create New Forum, click on Next to proceed.
  4. Name your forum, and then add directions and expectations for your students into the Description field. Copy this text for future use.
  5. Make any adjustments to the forums settings and availability. For specifics, watch the video below.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. On the following page, click Next.
  8. Paste the text you saved (directions and expectations) into the text box on this screen.
  9. Click Submit. The discussion board is now located in your chosen content area.
